Matthew Schwartz

Matthew J. Schwartz
Founder and President & CEO

Prior to starting MJS, Matt was a Principal in the New York City office of Heidrick & Struggles. There he was part of the “Global Consumer Practice” and worked across the consumer products, retail fashion and luxury goods, media and entertainment and corporate communications sub-practices. From 1994 to 1999, Matt was a senior consultant at Gundersen Partners, LLC, a boutique executive search firm in New York City. At Gundersen, Matt specialized in marketing and marketing services searches for both legacy and start-up organizations.

Matt is an AIRS Certified Diversity Recruiter and a member of the American Marketing Association.

Sharon Schanzer

Sharon Schanzer
Principal & Chief Marketing Officer

Sharon has been a successful entrepreneur for over 25 years and is the founder and Creative Director of Red Letter Day Graphic Design. Prior to Red Letter Day, Sharon was VP of Sales and Marketing at VirtualGiveaway, VP of Client Services at software developer ProductPOP, and a principal at Internet professional services firm Luminant Worldwide. Before Luminant, Sharon was founder and COO of Madison Technologies, a professional services firm that specialized in publishing technologies and prior to that, she was Manager of IT Services at magazine publisher Condé Nast and a technical writer at KPMG.

Randi Sperber

Randi Sperber
Vice President, Search Operations

Randi Sperber is our senior, recruiting leader and drives the research and candidate identification for MJS. Randi has spent the last 10 years in retained, executive search and has extensive experience identifying and recruiting top talent across a broad range of functions and industries, from C- level executives to mid level managers. Randi’s superb networking skills and tenacious recruiting style enable her to consistently deliver high quality talent for MJS clients. Randi transitioned into executive search following a 10 year career in banking.

Laurie Rosenfield
Consultant

As a Consultant at MJS Executive Search,  Laurie draws on an executive career devoted to the entertainment industry.  She provides clients with creative, results-oriented candidates capable of leading profitable, innovative enterprises.

Laurie serves clients in traditional and new media.  She has successfully completed assignments for senior general management, operations and functional roles.  She specializes in recruiting leadership for program development, sales, business development and marketing across the broadcasting, cable TV and interactive/online businesses.

Previously, Laurie was SVP Client services at Bishop Partners, a media boutique.   In addition, she was a Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom practice at CT Partners, and was Executive Vice President and a member of the DHR Media and Entertainment Practice.

A well-respected industry executive, Laurie has held a variety of management, program development, and sales roles with leading companies. In addition to establishing and managing TiVo’s New York office, Laurie was responsible for the firm’s Network and Media Partnerships. During her tenure with CBS Television Network, she held sales positions of increasing responsibility in the Affiliate Relations and Network Sales Divisions.  Her 15 years of program development experience  included Vice President of Development with Twentieth Century Fox and United Artists Pictures. She entered the entertainment industry with WCVB-TV, Boston.

Combining her industry expertise and entrepreneurial spirit, Laurie founded her own production company, Galaxy Pictures. CAA represented this developer of television programming and feature films.

Laurie majored in English and Theater at Dartmouth College and completed graduate studies in acting at San Francisco’s ACT. In addition, she is an executive and career coach, with certification from NYU and the Behavioral Coaching Institute. A former member of New York Women in Film, Laurie is also an advisor to STRIVE, a nonprofit workforce development organization based in Harlem.

Jeffrey Greenspan
Associate Consultant

Jeffrey is an Associate Consultant for MJS Executive Search. His previous experience was with The New England Consulting Group, a premier marketing management consulting firm specializing in business strategy, market research, and product innovation. Jeffrey managed key projects with blue chip clients including Walmart, Palladium Equity Partners, and McCormick & Schmick’s Restaurants.

He is a driven, hard-working, team player who contributes across a wide range of roles for the firm.

Jeffrey is a magna cum laude graduate of The University of Connecticut. While pursuing his degree in Real Estate and Urban Economic (Finance), he was President of Alpha Epsilon Pi and created, launched, and marketed a philanthropic campaign for the Make-A-Wish Foundation that raised over $40,000.
